McMillen Jacobs Associates is pleased to announce that Renée Fippin is the recipient of the 2018 James Wilton Award.
Renée has come to be known for her excellent technical abilities on both owner and contractor design assignments, a “roll up the sleeves” practical approach to solving problems, a tireless dedication and ability to manage large teams and mentor junior staff, a talent for keeping clients satisfied, and a solid business and business development sense. She exemplifies the broad range of traits critical to receive the Wilton Award. Please join us in congratulating Renée on her accomplishment.
Renée is currently the Project Manager for the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission’s (SFPUC) Mountain Tunnel Improvement Project where she is managing a team of 16 subconsultants and over 50 staff from both the Bay Area and multiple other McMillen Jacobs offices. She is a licensed Civil Engineer and Geotechnical Engineer in California and has 20 years of geotechnical and structural engineering experience, the last 11 with McMillen Jacobs.
The James Wilton Award honors the memory of James Wilton, former Principal and President of Jacobs Associates. The Wilton Award recognizes the accomplishments and contributions made by McMillen Jacobs Associates employees. It provides an opportunity to acknowledge their innovations, implemented into either a McMillen Jacobs Associates project or business operations and demonstrating an individual’s commitment to quality and excellence at the firm. An individual receiving this award shares the traits that made Jim an “engineer’s engineer”—innovative, hardworking, practical, and meticulous.
