Kush Chohan, PE, GE, presented his paper “Managing Mountain Tunnel Repair Challenges” (along with coauthors Blake Rothfuss and Jerry Malone) at the 2019 Construction Management Association of America National Conference in Orlando, FL.

Shannon Goff, PE, CPEng and Jeremy Johnson, PE, PMP, presented their paper “Curved Microtunnelling on the Ship Canal Water Quality Project” (along with coauthor Alan Lord) at No Dig Down Under, in Melbourne, VIC.

Shannon Goff, PE, CPEng, presented her paper “Developing a Corrosion Strategy to Protect New Zealand’s Largest Wastewater Asset” (along with coauthors Stephen Grace and Nigel Kay) at the Water New Zealand Conference. The paper also won the Hynds Paper of the Year.

Allison Halvorson was recently appointed President-Elect of the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) San Francisco Chapter.

Mohammad Jafari, PhD, PE, had his paper “Deep Injection Wells for Flood Prevention and Groundwater Management” (coauthored by Francois Bernardeau) published in the World Academy of Science, Engineering and Technology International Journal of Geotechnical and Geological Engineering, 13:5, 2019.

David Lambert, RA, recently became a registered architect in the state of Washington. He is the first McMillen Jacobs employee to obtain his architect license while working at the company.

Michelle van der Pouw Kraan, P.Eng., Rachel Martin, PE, and Norman Joyal, PE, GE, presented their paper “Kettle River Horizontal Directional Drill Crossing: Design Approach to Reassess HDD after an Open-Cut Recommendation” (along with coauthors Scott Holmes, Tony Pham, and Abdullah Izzeldin) at No-Dig North in Calgary, AB.

Dan Adams, PE, DBIA, gave a presentation on “Project Delivery & Contracting Methods” at the Colorado School of Mines Short Course: Tunneling Fundamentals, Practice and Innovations.
