“Hard Rock Tunnel Rehabilitation: A Smaller Demonstration Project Informs Design of Complete Tunnel Rehabilitation Project” (Kush Chohan, Rachel Martin, and Glenn Boyce);
“ALCOSAN Tunnel System Preliminary Planning” (Dan Dobbels);
“Designing and Implementing Risk Mitigation for Existing Critical Utilities by Means of Excavation Sequencing” (Greg Rogoff and Brad Murray);
“EPBM Pro-Active Tracking and Progressive Optimization” (Colin Lavassar and Elisa Comis).
In addition, lead authors Kush Chohan and Colin Lavassar were invited to present their papers at the Virtual NAT Conference, held from June 8 to June 12. Approximately 208 attended, and 20 papers were presented.

Edited by Glenn Boyce, the Second Edition of ASCE’s Pipe Ramming Manual of Practice (MOP 115) is now available. It describes current pipe ramming practices in design and construction of pipelines under roads, railroads, streets, and other constructed and natural structures and obstacles.
Alper Ucak coauthored “Analysis of Bridge Structures Crossing Strike-Slip Fault Rupture Zones: A Simple Method for Generating Across-Fault Seismic Ground Motions” (Earthquake Engineering & Structural Dynamics).
Sarah Wilson has been appointed to the Executive Committee for the Underground Construction Association of the Society for Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration (UCA of SME). The UCA Executive Committee is responsible for all division activities and implementing the UCA strategic goals. In addition, there are several activities UCA is actively engaged in for improving the tunneling industry. Directors serve four-year terms.
Jason Yeung received his Professional Engineer (P.Eng) license from the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA) Canada.
Nino Zivkovic received his Professional Engineer (P.Eng) license from the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of the Province of British Columbia (EGBC) Canada.
