Water Resources Division Announces Promotions

McMillen Jacobs Water Resources division is proud to announce the following promotions:

Engineering

Zach Autin, PE, has been promoted to Senior Project Engineer. Zach is a structural engineer and brings 11 years of experience on hydroelectric and water resources projects from the feasibility phase through construction.

Taylor Bowen, SE, PE, has been promoted to Project Manager. Taylor brings 12 years of technical design and project management experience. Taylor has served as a structural engineer in a variety of fields including hydroelectric, fish passage, and water treatment facilities.

James Boag, PE, has been promoted to Senior Managing Engineer. James is the Mechanical Engineering Discipline Lead and manages a team of 10 mechanical engineers focused exclusively on water resources and hydroelectric projects, bringing lessons learned and best practices from company-wide hydropower projects.

Nathan Cox, PE, has been promoted to Lead Managing Engineer. Nathan is a hydraulic engineer who brings 21 years of experience in both hydraulics and hydrology. He has provided analysis for sewer projects, spillways, control structures, stilling basins, penstocks and pipelines, levees solutions, flood control channels, and flood inundation mapping for various water resources projects.

Jeff Heindel, Fish Biologist, has been promoted to Lead Project Manager. Jeff has more than 30 years of experience working at all levels of hatchery and fisheries operations. Jeff’s broad experience incorporates ground-level involvement with aquaculture enhancement programs, species conservation, and recovery programs, as well as management-based hatchery production programs to address a wide range of artificial production needs on both a regional and on a national scale. Jeff is currently serving as President for the American Fisheries Society’s Fish Culture Section.

Chris Curtis, PE, FPE, CFPS, NICET IV SET, has been promoted to Senior Managing Engineer. Chris has 15 years of experience with a technical focus on electrical and fire protection systems design for a variety of facilities. He is licensed in both Electrical Engineering and Fire Protection Engineering, is a Certified Fire Protection Specialist with the National Fire Protection Association, (NFPA No. 3574), and a Certified Fire Alarm Systems Technician Level IV with the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET #102366).

Construction

Maggie Manning has been promoted to Project Engineer. Maggie brings over seven years of experience in job site coordination, project management, and land development. Maggie is currently at our Morony Dam Spillway Gate Design-Build project.

Bo Chvilicek has been promoted to Project Manager. Bo has 12 years’ experience within the construction industry, with extensive knowledge of heavy civil projects. Bo is currently at our Morony Dam Spillway Gate Design-Build project.

Leadership

Dave Johnston has been promoted to CAD Discipline Lead. Dave will oversee the quality, delivery, and workload sharing for the CAD team, and work with our Engineering Discipline Leads to coordinate resources, troubleshoot issues, and plan for new projects impacting the department.

Tracey Schutt has been promoted to Administrative Supervisor for our Boise office. Tracey will continue with her Project Assistant responsibilities, supporting our Engineering team. She will also take on the coordination of Boise office logistics and provide general administrative support.
