McMillen Jacobs’ Water Resources Division was recently selected to provide construction services for USACE Albuquerque District’s Coolidge Dam Outlet Rehabilitation project in Peridot, Arizona.
The Coolidge Dam impounds water that serves as an irrigation water storage reservoir for approximately 100,000 acres of farmland. The dam needs modification and rehabilitation to ensure that it functions properly. McMillen Jacobs will provide the supply of equipment and structures and all labor, plant, equipment, and materials for the rehabilitation of the two low-level outlets of the Coolidge Dam. This includes selective rehabilitation and modifications to the existing outlet towers and low-level conduits, the addition of the new isolation valves, upgrade of the existing regulating and guard gates operating equipment and control systems, and other miscellaneous improvements in support of the overall rehabilitation.
The $12M project will begin construction in January 2021 and is expected to be completed in April 2022.
