McMillen Jacobs offers comprehensive expertise to help our clients develop design-bid-build documents which generate competitive bid results and a limited change orders. We do this for projects ranging in size from $100k to $1b in construction value. We have industry leading expertise in the area of management and allocation of geotechnical risk, and have developed over 50 Geotechnical Baseline reports covering every type of geology. We engaged our in-house construction management and self-performing construction divisions throughout an owner’s design development, for activities such as constructability reviews and cost estimating. Our work does not stop with the final design – on all our bid-build projects, we assist our clients with the procurement, developing bidding and payment strategies which suit their goals and are aligned with their unique project controls. On every bid-build project, we maintain staff throughout the construction phase to provide site-engineering, permit support, and change order support. Examples of DBB owner’s engineer would be our Box Canyon Hydroelectric & Fish Passage, New Irvington Tunnel, Northgate Link Extension, or Sullivan Dam Cold Water Release System projects.
McMillen Jacobs Construction division bids owner-designed work in the fisheries, hydropower, and dam markets.
